Deputy Director of the Lao-German Technical College, Ms Bay Phaengsouphy, highlighted the program’s value to vocational education: ‘The LBC project is one that promotes student access to funding, especially for those who possess the ability but lack the financial resources to pursue their studies. This is a great opportunity for students in the vocational education sector. This year marks the third year our college has received support from LBC, and for this academic year, nine of our students successfully met the company’s criteria to receive the scholarship.
LBC’s CA, CSR and Sustainability Director, Mr Sithixay Kettavong, said the programme was established to give back to society as the company grows. “The scholarship serves as a bridge for talented students with financial difficulties, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue their studies,” he said.
By investing in these students, LBC aims to foster high-quality personnel capable of contributing to the prosperity of Laos for years to come.
