Phu Bia Ming achieves Caterpillar 5-star ratings for 10 consecutive years

Phu Bia Mining (PBM) continues to adhere to our world-class operational excellence by achieving the Caterpillar 5-star Contamination Control (CC) ratings awarded by Caterpillar.

Caterpillar auditors came and inspected PBM mobile maintenance and warehouse facilities against 14 requirements specified in the Caterpillar Customer Contamination Control Compliance Guide.
The audit found the Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operations’ mobile maintenance and warehouse facilities complied with their strict guidelines and both operations received the Caterpillar 5-star rating.
This is the 10th consecutive year for the Ban Houayxai mobile maintenance and warehouse facilities dating back to 2013.
At that time, PBM was one of only six facilities worldwide and the first company in a developing country to receive the prestigious maximum 5-star rating. The Phu Kham mobile maintenance and warehouse have also achieved their ninth consecutive 5-star award rating.
Phu Bia Mining’s parent company, PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Office, Daling Zheng spoke proudly about the results of the audit. Retaining the maximum 5-star rating for nine and 10 consecutive years reflects the high-level of skill and talent our people have continued to contribute to maintaining safe and contamination-free workplaces.
“I am proud of how our employees and contractors follow strict safety standards and processes that are in place. This includes ‘Take 5’ – a five-minute step-by step check, and the Company’s ‘Cardinal Rules’ – eight simple rules helping our workforce to perform their tasks safely and reduce hazards and risks that could contaminate the surrounding environment,” Daling Zheng said.
