Lao Brewery Company joins government leaders to deliver flood relief to seven provinces

The Lao Brewery Company (LBC) joined senior central government leaders on August 22 to deliver essential relief supplies worth more than 600 million kip to families affected by severe flooding across seven provinces in central and southern Laos.
The delegation was led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr Santiphap Phomvihane, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Mr Khamphanh Phommathat, and the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Phoxay Sayasone.
Provincial governors and vice governors received the assistance on behalf of communities in Bolikhamxay, Khammuan, Savannakhet, Saravan, Champasak, Sekong and Attapeu.

LBC contributed 10,000 packs of 1.5-litre Tigerhead Drinking Water and 4,000 packs of soft drinks. The supplies aim to provide clean and safe beverages to households still recovering from the natural disaster.

The flooding was caused by the impact of monsoon conditions and seasonal storms in early August 2026, which brought several consecutive days of heavy rainfall. As water levels rapidly rose across several areas, rivers overflowed their banks, causing flooding in communities, agricultural and production areas, and damaging infrastructure in various parts of the country.
