A spectacular concert is staged in Vientiane on February 5 to celebrate the 2026 "Cross-Border" Laos-China Lunar New Year. The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Training Committee of the LPRP Central Committee, Dr Khammone Chanthachit; Chinese Ambassador to Laos, Ms Fang Hong; other government and Party leaders and Chinese nationals living in Laos. The programme featured songs and dances performed by Lao and Chinese troupes. The event aimed to entertain the audience while also strengthening the bond between the two nations by deepening the emotional ties between the Lao and Chinese peoples.
