Director of the National Library, Mr Samlane Luangaphay, officials from the Publishing and Literature Department and the Trade Union Federation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, members of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions, other officials, and teachers and children from primary schools on Friday visit the library for recreational activities. On the same occasion, educational supplies were donated for use by children, as a gift to mark the 70th anniversary of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions on February 1. |

Representatives of the Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Laos, Ms Oya Yazar (right), last week donate medical equipment worth US$35,000 to Deputy Minister of Health Dr Aphone Vixathep (left) at Salavan provincial hospital. The donation consisted of an incubator and associated equipment for the care of newborn babies, and other supplies for hospital use. |

The Vocational Education Specialist for GIZ-VELA, Ms Borivone Phafong (left), handed over a total of 12 sets of IT and computer equipment, valued at over 250 million kip, to the Executive Vice President of the LNCCI, Daovone Phachanthavong (right), last Friday. The equipment will support information management and the coordination of vocational education activities through Public–Private Partnership mechanisms, particularly for use at the Dual Cooperative Training Service Centre and provincial Chambers of Commerce and Industry. |
