- Lao, Filipino leaders agree to strengthen ties as trade sours
Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and Filipino President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. have agreed to work together to deepen cooperation between the two countries in vital areas such as trade, education, defence, and digital innovation.The pledge comes as the two nations celebrate 70 years of formal diplomatic relations, marking a milestone in their longstanding partnership.

- Vinachem updates Lao Deputy PM on potash mine project
Hanoi (VNA) -- Senior executives from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) reported on the progress of a major potash mining and processing project in Khammuan province to Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith in Vientiane on May 27.
Vinachem Chairman Phung Quang Hiep and General Director Nguyen Huu Tu briefed the Deputy PM and representatives from key Lao ministries on the project implementation to date. - Chinese hospital lends backing to Mahosot cardiologists

Laos’ Mahosot Hospital and Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital in Yunnan province, China, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the continuation of cooperation to improve healthcare services and patient treatment in the field of cardiovascular care.
