The German-Lao Friendship Society on June 10 hands over a newly built hospital facility to Xanasomboun district authorities in Champassak province. The Society donated over 137 million kip to the cost of construction, while the hospital provided 75 million kip and monk Somboun contributed 5 million kip, totalling more than 217 million kip. The handover was attended by the Vice President of the German-Lao Friendship Society, Mr Padith Phongprachit, President of the Lao-German Friendship Association, Dr Khamlien Pholsena and relevant officials.

Representatives from ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste gather in Vientiane for a two-day workshop to discuss the Post-2025 Action Plan on Migrant Workers’ Rights. Participants engaged in open dialogue and knowledge-sharing not only in relation to ASEAN but also in connection with other regions. Chaired by a senior Lao official, the workshop brought together delegates including representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat, the International Labour Organisation, International Organisation for Migration, and other development partners. 

Personnel from more than 10 mainstream media outlets in the ASEAN countries of the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia visit the Wuxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Park in Huaihua, Hunan, China, learning about the interweaving of technology and culture.
