Lao Brewery Company supports World Blood Donor Day activities in Vientiane and Champassak

Lao Brewery Company Limited (LBC) has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to public health by supporting activities to mark World Blood Donor Day 2025, held under the global slogan “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together to Save Lives”.
The company provided significant assistance for blood donation events organised in both Vientiane and Champassak province, including the donation of  Tigerhead Drinking Water, Sting energy drinks, snacks, souvenirs, and logistical support, with a total contribution valued at 154,460,000 kip.

In Vientiane, the donation was officially presented by Director of Corporate Affairs, CSR and Sustainability at Lao Brewery Company, representing the company’s Board of Directors, Mr Sithixay Ketthavong.

The donation was received by Director of the National Blood Transfusion Centre, Dr Chanthala Souksakhone. Meanwhile, in Champassak province, the handover was received by Director of the Champasack Red Cross Branch, Mr Thipphakaisone Phouthichai.

Further amplifying its impact, LBC collaborated with youth volunteers from the Houa Seua Asa (Tigerhead Volunteers) project to help organise the events and distribute souvenirs to participating donors.
In addition, the company actively encouraged its employees to join the effort, resulting in the collection of 372 bags of blood—a meaningful contribution to national blood reserves.

Speaking at the event, Mr Sithixay expressed the company’s continued dedication to social responsibility. “We are proud to be part of efforts to help society. Although we have collected a large amount of blood, demand still exceeds supply. No factory or machine can produce blood—only human generosity can meet this need. We therefore encourage all sectors and members of the public to donate blood regularly and systematically.”
This year’s support builds on LBC’s longstanding collaboration with national health authorities. For more than 12 years, Lao Brewery Company has provided nationwide assistance to blood donation campaigns, with cumulative contributions exceeding 2 billion kip.
LBC’s participation in World Blood Donor Day 2025 once again highlights the company’s core values of social responsibility, community partnership, and sustainable development.
