Minister of Public Works and Transport Mr Ngampasong Muongmany on Monday receives the US Ambassador to Laos, Ms Heather Variava. The Minister said he greatly appreciated the cooperation between Laos and the United States in relation to public works. He was confident that the Ambassador would continue support for the public works and transport sector by arranging training courses and facilitating knowledge sharing. He observed that public works and transport officials have attended training courses in the United States, while there has also been collaboration in investment between the government and the private sector. |

They were warmly welcomed by the province’s Deputy Governor, Mr Sanesack Soulisack, for talks on past accomplishments and prospects for future collaboration with the province. |

Ambassador Southam Sakonhninhom and Ambassador Malayvieng Sakonhninhom are proud to inform readers that our valuable cooperation with UNICEF has resulted in the publication of our book “When He Was Prime Minister”, written in English and printed on June 14. It marks another contribution to Laos’ chairmanship of ASEAN this year. Football teams from the Vientiane Tax Organisation, AI-Sport, Lao Sport Media and IMC United on Monday compete for the N and N Football Club President’s Cup at the Besavanh FC ground in Khamsavath village, Xaysettha district, Vientiane. The contest was won by IMC after they beat Lao Sport Media 2-1. The cup was presented by the President of the N and N Football Club, Mr Bounmy Xayavong. The Vientiane Tax Organisation came third after beating the AI-Sport squad 6-5. |
