Staff from the Lao Red Cross and the Red Cross branch in Vientiane province last week officially open new water taps at Nasak Secondary School and Mai Pakthoun and Non Na Kaeb primary schools in Xanakham district. Installation of the new water supplies cost 221 million kip. The provision of clean running water at these schools not only addresses the issue of water scarcity but also aims to ensure better hygiene and sanitation for local residents.

Hongsa Power Company Limited on August 12, led by the Deputy Managing Director of the Finance, Accounting and Commercial division, Mr Pratheep Yoknamngoen, presented a donation of 377,500,000 kip to support the flood recovery effort in Xienghon district following widespread damage caused by Storm Wipha. The donation was handed over to Xienghon district authorities. The funds will be used to restore damaged areas, helping communities return to normal life as quickly as possible.
