Senior military officials from Laos and China unveil the sign at the entrance to the new Chest Pain Unit at the Lao People’s Army 103 Hospital in Vientiane.

A senior official from the Ministry of National Defence, Brigadier General Dr Khampheng Phoummakeo, Defence Attache at the Chinese Embassy to Laos, Colonel Li Bing, and other senior officials from the ministry and embassy officially open a Chest Pain Unit at the Lao People’s Army 103 Hospital in Vientiane to improve the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. The event also served to mark the 48th anniversary of Lao National Day on December 2, the 75th anniversary of Lao People’s Army Day on January 20, and China’s 74th National Day on October 1.
