MTC, Huawei Laos ink pact on digital transformation partnership 

A delegation led by Minister of Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr Boviengkham Vongdara, travelled to attend the Huawei Connect 2023 event at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall & Shanghai World Expo Centre.

During this visit, the delegation also toured the Huawei Shanghai R&D Centre for 5.5G.
This special occasion was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the digital transformation partnership between the Ministry of Technology and Communications and Huawei Technologies (Lao) Sole Co., Ltd.
The aim of this partnership is to jointly create ICT courses and provide students from the Institute of Information and Communications Technology with opportunities to hold seminars and training sessions, as well as internships at Huawei Laos.
The MOU was signed by the Head of Office of the Ministry of Technology and Communications, Mr Phoukhong Chithoublok, and the Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Laos, Mr Hua Zhimeng.
Prof. Dr Boviengkham Vongdara, along with Deputy Minister of Technology and Communications Mr Xayluza Insisiengmay, and Senior Vice President of the Huawei Group and President of Huawei in the Asia-Pacific region, Mr Simon Lin, attended the signing as witnesses. Delegations from both Laos and China were present at the ceremony.
