Acting President of Savannakhet University, Associate Prof. Dr Khoun Sackbauvong (right), and Dr Soulinhong Xaykosy on Monday display signed documents authorising Dr Soulinhong’s retirement. Those present at the ceremony included the Minister of Education and Sports, Associate Prof. Dr Phout Simmalavong, the Deputy Governor of Savannakhet province, Ms Lingthong Sengtavan, and senior officials from the province and ministry.

Members of a special economic management organising committee hand over more than 13 billion kip to 35 families in Thamuang village, Khong district, Champassak province, in compensation for the loss of property due to the construction of a 36-hole golf course. More compensation will be awarded to other families affected by the development.
