Editor-in-Chief of Lao Press in Foreign Languages, Mrs Phonesavanh Thikeo, tries on translation glasses while visiting the Maiyu Tech AI Exhibition Hall.  When other people addressed her in Chinese, a translation appeared in her field of vision and she was able to answer in English. The monitor shows the screen in Chinese, enabling two people to communicate without knowing each other’s language. The translation glasses are on sale in Guangxi, China, at a cost of about US$500. The visit is part of the ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week currently taking place in Nanning, China.

Asean Media visit Nanning International Railway Port Hall of ILSTC. The visit is one of the ASEAN Media Partners Cooperation Week held this week in Nanning, Quangxi, China. As a key node in China's New Western Land-Sea Corridor, Nanning International Railway Port is a vital engine driving connectivity and trade between China and ASEAN countries. It  is also connected with the Lao-China railway and boosting the cargo shipment by train between the two countries.

Vientiane province authorities, representatives of Nikson Mining Development Group Limited, Meuangfeuang district authorities and related personnel on Monday attend the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a school. The construction cost is estimated at 6 billion kip. The school, which will take six months to build, comprises two floors with seven classrooms and a teachers’ office.
