Former President Choummaly Sayasone (seated) last week meets with Bokeo authorities at the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Tonpheung district. He was updated on the progress made on the province’s socio-economic development plan and developments in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Bokeo province, Mr Thongchanh Manixay, Deputy Governor of Bokeo province, Mr Kheuanphet Vongchanh, district governors and other officials.

Chair of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, Mr Khamsouay Keodalavong, and officials recently handed over 88 million kip to Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Phongsaisack Intharath, in Vientiane to assist people affected by the 2024 floods. The funds were provided by the Korean-Lao Friendship Association.
