More Covid vaccine arrives, donated by US
The United States has donated more than 799,000 doses of the Pfizer Biotech Covid-19 vaccine to Laos through the COVAX Facility, with the shipment arriving at Wattay International Airport last week. Govt orders probe into sale of train tickets 
The Prime Minister’s Office has instructed the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Laos-China Railway Company Limited to look into the sale of train tickets after numerous complaints by members of the public about the cost of tickets. Although Laos officially reopened its doors to foreign tourists on January 1, few visitors have arrived because of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, while some countries have imposed travel restrictions because of the Omicron outbreak.
