New website provides information about HIV, sexually transmitted diseases

The Community Health and Inclusion Association and the Ministry of Health have launched a website (testVTE.org) to provide information about HIV prevention and testing, and other sexually transmitted diseases.
The launch was attended by the Director General of the Department of Communicable Disease Control under the Ministry of Health, Dr Rattanaxay Phetsouvanh, and Head of the Centre for AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections, Dr Phouthone Soutthalack, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
The website also provides information about issues relating to men who have sex with men, as well as transgender information and concerns, with reference to countries in the Asia-Pacific region such as Thailand and Indonesia. The objective of the website is to provide young people with easy and equal access to health information, especially in relation to HIV and sexually transmitted diseases.
This can be accessed through www.testvte.org and pages on test VTE’s social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.

Information on the following topics is available on the website: HIV testing and treatment services and prescriptions, sexually transmitted diseases, use of condoms to prevent the spread of disease, antiviral prophylaxis, emergency contraceptive use, and HIV treatment with antiretroviral drugs.
