Training course "Business Communication Trends" gathered together participants more than 15 countries

Participants from more than 15 countries of the CIS, BRICS, ASEAN and Europe joined the training course “Business Communication Trends", which took place on 15 - 18 December 2021. During four-day course, students, young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, who use Russian in education and business communication received 20 hours of useful content that will help develop their communication skills.

   

Training program included a series of practical exercises and business communication case studies in various formats (lectures, master classes, workshops) with the involvement of business communication experts from different countries. A total of 19 events were held with the participation of 21 experts.
The training course was held in a mixed intramural-online format. Each day of the course included several events, during which speakers from different countries joined the presenter at the studio (Moscow, Russia) online. Russian experts gave their presentations in person at the studio. All events were broadcast live, the participants could ask questions in the chat. The chat became a communication platform for the course – there participants shared their impressions, initiated debates, discussed future cooperation and joined projects.
The training course started with a seminar "Professional Communication in Health Care", conducted by Tatyana N. Melnikova, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Belarusian and Russian Languages ​​of the Belarusian State Medical University (Republic of Belarus). She noted that new technologies have introduced new formats of interaction between a doctor and a patient and commented on the audience's questions: “We need to develop a whole new technology for communicating with the patient remotely. But telemedicine cannot completely replace personal consultation with a doctor".
On the first day of the training course, several speakers from Turkey delivered lectures.
The topic "Cultural Barriers in Business Communication" was presented by Hulia Arslan, Ph.D., Head of the Department of the Russian Language and Literature at Yeditepe University. “There are many cultural differences. For example, we warn our students that Russians are not very fond of talking about politics, it is better to keep up a conversation by discussing the weather or latest museum exhibitions,” she noted.
Based on the training course materials, a collection of cases will be published - it will be available at the “Open Russian” online platform www.open-russian.com together with the video diary of the training course “Business Communication Trends”.
Each participant will receive the certificate of attendance.
