EU, Luxembourg grant nearly 1.45 mn euros to strengthen Lao national nutrition strategy

- LNCCI awards for outstanding businesses for contributions to national economy
A total of 106 companies from 13 sectors across Laos have received the “Top LNNCI Business Leader for 2021 in relation to the Covid-19 Response Award (New Normal)” in recognition of their outstanding performance and contributions during the pandemic. The awards were given away at a ceremony jointly organised on Wednesday by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) and the Lao Press in Foreign Languages (Vientiane Times). BYD-Hand Sanitizer provides medical equipment for Covid-19 response
BYD-Hand Sanitizer (MOK CO LTD-BYD) has provided medical equipment worth more than US$ 5.7 million to support Laos’ efforts to cope with any further outbreak of Covid-19. The equipment included Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical staff, surgical masks and gloves, goggles, hand sanitisers and hand washing gel. The firm mobilised a lot of resources from overseas and donated 47 containers of alcohol-free hand sanitisers to Laos. EU, Luxembourg grant nearly 1.45 mn euros to strengthen Lao national nutrition strategy
More than 33,400 people in 46 target villages in the provinces of Vientiane, Borikhamxay and Xieng Khuang are expected to benefit from the strengthening of the Lao National Nutrition Strategy with funding from the European Union (EU), Caritas and the Government of Luxembourg. The project will implement nutrition-related activities until March 2024 in selected areas such as Thoulakhom district of Vientiane province, Xaychamphon district of Borikhamxay province, and Phaxay district in Xieng Khuang province. ....More >>>
