The government is providing a subsidy of US$8 million to US$10 million to lower household electricity bills from September to December 2025 for consumers using up to 300 kWh a month. The subsidy follows growing concern over high living costs and is aimed at easing pressure on low-income families grappling with rising production and energy expenses.
